We have a number of existing clients who are receiving ABI care from our exceptional team. If you would like to see a testimonial of this work, are seeking more information about this area of care, or would like to discuss how Care1 may be able to offer support to you, please contact us.

What others say

"When we first dealt with Care1 our family was going through an extremely emotional and stressful time. We were daunted by the prospect of having carers in our home and unsure of what to expect. Since then we have found the office staff to be approachable and willing to accommodate our changing needs. Any requests or difficulties have been dealt with quickly and the problem resolved.

The regular carers who come to our home are friendly, professional, considerate and sensitive to our situation and needs. We are more than happy."

J. Nicholls,
Family of client

"For almost 3 years I have enjoyed servicing the needs and requirements of all my clients at Care1. This challenging and rewarding role has enabled me to utilise my skills as a carer. To develop these skills further Care1 has provided me with additional training and courses to ensure I can provide the latest knowledge and skills to meet the client's needs and requirements."

L. Camana,
Community Support Worker

"I didn't think anybody could care for my dad better than I could … but gladly, I was wrong. Care1 has been providing care and support to my father for nearly 2 years. The Care1 staff are well trained and focussed on dad achieving the best possible rehabilitation outcomes. We are extremely happy with the service."

J. Alberts,
Family of client

"I have been with Care1 for six years… Care1 is a great company to work for. They have supported me with my training, and are always there when I need help with clients. When I started working with them I didn't have much experience. Care1 has put me through training and helped me get to where I am now. I think Care1 is great company to be with."

Z. Kayguzus,

"I have been working for Care1 for more than four years. I thank Care1 for giving me the chance to participate in training courses that have helped me gain more confidence in my career. I have been awarded Certificate IV in Disability and Certificate III in Home and Community Care, completed Brain Injury and Bowel Care courses and Work Health and Safety. Care1 provides staff with a great atmosphere of teamwork, and the managers are very friendly and efficient, which helps us to provide a quality service to our clients. I am proud to work for Care1."

Our Story

Our founder Damon Ashton started out in the healthcare industry in 1993 as a disability support worker while studying. He progressed to management positions within the industry but soon became frustrated with the low levels of compassion and service delivery from many providers. In 2006 Damon made the decision to change how care was being administered to our most vulnerable members of the community – the disabled, frail and aged and those with acquired and often lifelong injuries.

Care1 has quickly grown to employ a reliable team of professional care and nursing staff, providing a high level of care to the community for over seven years.
